My Favorite Things and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Favorite Things and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop

Hi! Today I’m sharing cute, simple treat bags that are perfect for your next summer cookout, gathering or party.

I started by using the Die-namics Hello There die-cut to create my ‘hello’ and ‘hi’ sentiments. I placed my paper on our Adhesive Sheets 4”x6" for easy adhering.

Next, I used the Die-namics Dainty Bows die-cut and the Dots & Stripes Fresh Paper Pack to make those adorable bows; I adhered my bows together with Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/4″.

I cut a small piece of Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Denim Ribbons and wrapped it around the center of my bow.

Finally, I cut 3.75”x4” rectangles from the Gingham Galore Paper Pack, scored and folded them in half. I filled small clear bags with a sweet treat and then placed my folded rectangles over the top and stapled them in place. I peeled the backing from my sentiments and adhered them, as well as my bows to each bag. That’s it – cute, simple and yummy!

‘A Little Something’ Shaker Card with 3D Foam Frames

Hi! Today I’m sharing a fun and simple way to use 3D Foam Frames to create a cute shaker card! Before I made this card I read and watched several tutorials to see how others were creating shaker cards. I was amazed at how complex the instructions seemed to be, I decided there had to be a simpler way…guess what? There is! The Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Frames are the perfect solution – check out my tutorial below!

I started by cutting a 4.25"x5.5” rectangle and adhered it to the base of my card using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser. I also cut a 3.75"x5” rectangle – creating a second layer – as well as a 3"x4” journaling card.

Next, I selected one of the 3D Foam Frames that fit the perimeter of the 3"x4” journaling card. Once the 3D Foam Frame was in place I sprinkled a few sequins onto the journaling card.

I then removed the paper covering from the 3D Foam Frames (i.e., the adhesive was showing) and placed a 3 x 4” transparency on top. I pressed the transparency down firmly ensuring it was completely adhered to the 3D Foam Frames – I didn’t want my sequins to escape!

I wanted to give my shaker piece a clean look so I placed Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ Permanent along all four edges and then covered it with pattern paper. I considered my shaker complete and adhered it using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser to the 3.75"x5” rectangle. (Remember our E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser is really strong so it’s perfect for adhering those heavier items when creating).

To finish my card I tied a black and white checkered bow and added a white button. Finally, I adhered the 3.75"x 5” rectangle using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser to the base of my card.

That’s it! Not only is it simple it’s cute too!

Honor Tag Tutorial with Pennant Set

Hi! Today I’m sharing a tag I created using the Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Pennant Set.

First, I started with a denim-colored pennant from the Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Pennant Set. I placed Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ along the bottom of the pennant and then folded the bottom up a 1/4". Next, I folded the pennant in half and marked the center with a pin.

After I marked the center I unfolded the pennant, placed Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ diagonally in both corners, and then folded each corner towards the pin to create a pocket. Next, I placed Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ along both sides as well as the top and folded the sides in a 1/4" and the top down 1".

Finally, I added machine stitching to my pocket to make it look similar to a denim pocket (I used a pencil and ruler to create my pattern and then stitched along the lines).

Once my pocket was ready I began creating my tag. I started by placing adhesive along the edges of a tag using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips and then covered the tag with pattern paper. I then used a quatrefoil diecut to create a design to add to the background of my tag. Next, I adhered my diecut to my tag using a glue stick (our Adhesive Sheets 4x6" would have made my life simpler but I only had a glue stick).

I actually cut two die cuts and placed one at the top and one at the bottom of my tag, and then trimmed the excess off. I covered the gap between the two diecut pieces with the denim-colored pocket I created. To give it dimension I adhered the pocket to my tag using a 3D Foam Creative Sheets Mix.

I embellished my tag with a journaling card, stickers, flowers, ribbon, twine and metal accents.
